Kyle McGrath, CFA
Kyle McGrath, CFA, joined Riverpoint in 2026 as a Wealth Advisor, providing financial planning and investment advice to high-net-worth individuals and families. In addition to his wealth advisory role, he leads Riverpoint Wealth Management’s strategic planning and growth efforts. He brings a strategic and practical business perspective to wealth management, helping clients navigate complex financial decisions with clarity.
Prior to joining Riverpoint, Kyle worked for over eight years in the Focus Financial Partners network, including time spent with wealth manager Focus Partners Wealth (formerly Kovitz), where he most recently served as Vice President focused on strategic growth and corporate strategy. He began his career in investment management with AllianceBernstein.
Kyle is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is completing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.
After six years in New York, he moved back home to Chicago, where he has served as a student mentor through iMentor’s Chicago Public School program. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, cycling, and spending time outdoors.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Wheaton, IL and attended Wheaton Warrenville South High School.
Tell us about your family.
My wife CJ is from Iowa and is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. We live in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago with our dog Otis (a Bernedoodle).
If you weren't a wealth advisor, what would you do?
Outdoors and activities guide (ski instructor, lacrosse coach, hiking guide).
Where do you take someone visiting Chicago?
Wrigley Field for a Cubs game, a walk down the concrete beach, and dinner in the West Loop.
Where do you go to unplug?
Early morning bike rides on the Chicago lakefront or northern Wisconsin.
Best trip you've taken and what's next on the list?
Our recent honeymoon to Kauai and New Zealand. We plan to go to Japan next!
What is your go-to coffee order?
Double espresso.

My Mom. She taught me the importance of challenging myself and taking care of my health.
Something people would be surprised to learn about you?
As a kid I founded a dog waste pickup service in local neighborhoods with my brother.
